Constellation 2048 begins from the recognition that the people most affected by today’s failures in rights, justice, and global governance have too often been excluded from the spaces where those systems are imagined, and shaped and implemented.
The 2048 Commission is where dialogue, consultation, and research happens. This is a time bound process designed to bring people together to discuss a credible pathway toward a just future. We want to hear your views on the key themes proposed, and are offering a series of structured engagements and will also be accepting organisational and individual submissions. This process is an opportunity to do things differently: to bring communities, movements, experts, and civil society into a structured process of reflection, learning, and co-design toward 2048. The aim is not only to gather views, but to understand what must be protected, disrupted, reimagined, and rebuilt for a more inclusive human rights future.

Consultation Toolkit
The Community Consultation Toolkit provides a practical framework for designing and facilitating participatory consultations across the 2048 Commission’s thematic areas. It outlines the purpose of consultation, proposed objectives, suggested formats, facilitation approaches, guiding questions, and methods for harvesting insights, tensions, and proposals from communities, movements, scholars, advocates, and other contributors.
The toolkit is designed to help Working Groups gather ideas and lived and movement-based analysis, test emerging proposalsideas, identify risks and opportunities, and translate consultation inputs into orientation papers, Commission outputs, and the road toward Assembly 2028.
